Shared Vision
Regional visioning is an emerging approach to problem solving being applied by metropolitan regions, counties and cities across the country. Northern Kentucky was one of the first communities to truly embrace the value of developing a regional vision. In 2007, Southwest Ohio launched Agenda 360 which is designed to work collaboratively with Vision 2015 to serve as a long term vision for the region. Please click here to view the first Agenda 360 Community Update, which details the progress made since the establishment of this regional plan.
Both Vision 2015 and Agenda 360 have identified common metrics and built an accountability framework based off of the United Way State of the Community Report. The report collects data on key areas such as poverty levels, educational attainment and health status. The report can be found line at http://www.crc.uc.edu/region/index.htm. Data is updated as it is released. Check out the data portal which allows you to build your own charts, comparisons and download the information of your choosing.
The entire region, as well as each neighborhood and county that is a part of this region, benefits from a shared vision that will spur more collaboration, goal-setting, and accountability.
One of the newest collaborative projects to emerge from Vision 2015 and Agenda 360 is The Story Project. The project is an authentic narrative that captures the history and assets of our region.
