In August of 2009, it was announced that Bill Scheyer would lead Vision 2015 . As president, Scheyer will be responsible for the strategic direction and operations of Vision 2015, managing the implementation of Northern Kentucky’s 10-year strategic plan.
Before coming to Vision 2015 Scheyer was president of Southbank Partners, Inc., an organization committed to promoting economic impact within Northern Kentucky’s river cities. Prior to Southbank, Scheyer served as city administrator for the City of Erlanger. He has served as president of both the Northern Kentucky and statewide City/County Management Associations. He is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and an alumnus of both Leadership Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati Regional Leadership Forum.
His involvement in community visioning in Northern Kentucky began with his participation in the Quest process in 1995.
Kara Williams serves as vice president of communication and strategic initiatives for Vision 2015. As vice president, Williams works with organizational partners and volunteers to oversee project implantation in the areas of educational excellence, economic competitiveness, livable communities, and effective governance. She also coordinates communication efforts, public engagement, and produces publications and marketing pieces for the organization.
Prior to joining Vision 2015, Williams held positions in marketing at Intrinzic Marketing and Design as well as public policy at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Williams is a graduate of Leadership Northern Kentucky and is past chair of the leadership program. Williams is actively involved with numerous volunteer activities associated with Northern Kentucky University, the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Chambers of Commerce, Senior Services of Northern Kentucky, and a variety of other civic groups. She was also a member of the Vision 2015 Leadership Team during the visioning process. Williams has been named a Business Courier Forty Under 40 Leader of Distinction, a "Power Player" in Cincy Magazine, and a Northern Kentucky Outstanding Woman.
Tara Ford serves as Strategic Initiatives Manager for Vision 2015. In this role, Ford works with three of Vision 2015’s strategic directions; leading urban renaissance and regional stewardship, and involved with livable community projects.
Ford previously worked as Economic Development Manager for Northern Kentucky Tri-ED, where she provided economic development project management assistance and performed location, infrastructure and tax analysis, and the Northern Kentucky Area Development District, where she served as public administration specialist and managed a revolving loan fund for small businesses.
Ford is a graduate of Leadership Northern Kentucky and a past steering committee member. She serves on the Urban Partnership of Covington board of directors, the Legacy steering committee, and is board member and past chair of the Northern Kentucky Forum. She has earned the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) designation, and is a member of the American Planning Association (APA) and its Kentucky Chapter (KAPA).
Liz Wlotzko is the newest member of the Vision 2015 team, joining us in December 2011. Wlotzko comes to Vision 2015 with thirteen years of banking and administration experience. She serves as the Office Administrator oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization. She has been involved with various charitable organizations and currently volunteers with the Bridges Program in Over the Rhine.
Nancy Costello
Nancy Costello started as Education Initiatives Coordinator with Vision 2015 in August, 2010. She is currently “on loan” as in-kind staff support to the newly reorganized Northern KY Education Council. In this role, she supports strategic action teams of the Council, business/education partnerships, communication projects and One to One program support and volunteer recruitment.
Before joining Vision 2015, Costello worked with Chiquita Brands in Cincinnati in human resources where she provided support to customer groups and led project initiatives in recruitment and staffing, employee relations, process improvement and performance management. Costello’s most recent volunteer work includes tutoring with One to One: Practicing Reading, WhizKids (City Cure) and Children, Inc. Montessori Early Learning Academy. She is also a long-term Boone County Schools volunteer and brings prior volunteer coordination experience with numerous non-profit organizations in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Sociology from Miami University and her Master of Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University.
